Google Custom Search (formerly known as Google Co-op) is a platform launched by Google on May 10, 2006 that allows web developers to create custom search engines and feature specialized information in web searches, refine and categorize queries, based on Google Search. Google Custom Search allows users to narrow down Google's database of 11.5 billion indexed webpages down to a group of pages relevant to the creator's needs.
